Information used and why

Technical records and access to your journal

Your journal is stored and processed on Traid’s server so the app can display your records and calculate your results. We do not routinely read users’ private journals. Administrative access may be needed to investigate a support request, resolve a technical or security incident, or meet a legal obligation, and should be limited to what is necessary. This service is not described as end-to-end encrypted: the server processes journal contents.

The app records login diagnostic events, including event/form identifiers, app build information, browser user-agent information and request metadata. Certain failed-login diagnostics include the account identifier and rejection reason. These records support troubleshooting and account security, on the basis of legitimate interests in operating a reliable service and preventing abuse. The web server may also keep access/error logs containing IP addresses, request paths, timestamps and response codes, depending on its configuration.

Traid’s operator personally manages administrative access to the server. We do not routinely watch users’ activity or use a separate visitor-analytics, session-recording or third-party monitoring service. Automatic technical logs may still be created to help investigate faults and security problems. The journal’s trading analytics calculate your trading results; they are not the same as website visitor tracking. Google’s advertising services can still measure advertising activity as described below.

Account and journal information needed to provide a requested feature is necessary for that feature. Advertising consent is separate from accepting service terms. Traid automatically checks subscription status and plan limits to determine which features are available. These checks do not make investment recommendations or credit decisions. Contact help@traidvue.com if you believe your access has been restricted incorrectly.

Who receives information

Traid is hosted on the operator’s own server in Hungary. Relevant recipients include the operator, its authorised support personnel and any infrastructure providers used; Stripe for payments and subscription status; Google and advertising partners when their services are used; and authorities where disclosure is legally required. Chart requests can disclose requested symbols, dates and other request details to configured market-data providers. Opening a YouTube link connects you to YouTube under its own privacy practices.

Where information is processed

Our main application server is in Hungary. This does not mean every service used by Traid processes information only in Hungary or the European Economic Area (EEA). Google services, Stripe and other external services described above may process relevant information internationally, including in the United States.

Google describes its international-transfer arrangements, including applicable adequacy frameworks and standard contractual clauses, at https://policies.google.com/privacy/frameworks. Stripe describes its arrangements in its data-transfer terms at https://stripe.com/legal/dta. The arrangement that applies depends on the service, recipient and relevant contract. These providers’ statements are not a certification of Traid or a guarantee that all information remains in the EEA.

You can contact help@traidvue.com for information about recipients and applicable transfer safeguards, including how to obtain a copy where appropriate.

How long information is kept

Free accounts that have not had a paid subscription are deleted after three consecutive calendar months without authenticated use of the journal. Opening or using your journal while signed in counts as activity, including when you use remembered login. Background checks, advertising requests and automatic subscription renewals do not count as user activity.

Accounts with an active paid subscription are protected from inactivity deletion. Cancelling a subscription ends Premium immediately and moves the account to the Free version. Cancellation does not itself delete the account or its existing journal records, including the most recent statement uploads and imported trades. Free-plan access and feature limits apply after the downgrade; Premium-only features are no longer available. Temporary BackScratch videos still follow their separate two-hour expiry rule.

After Premium ends, the account and journal data are deleted after one calendar month without logging in or using the journal while already signed in. This period starts when Premium ends, even if you were inactive before cancellation. Returning before deletion restarts the one-month period. The deletion date is one calendar month after the later of the downgrade date and your most recent authenticated use. Starting a new paid subscription protects the account again while that subscription is active.

Inactivity deletion covers the account and its journal records, notes, preferences and saved video links. It does not delete recordings held by YouTube. You may request earlier deletion by contacting help@traidvue.com, subject to lawful retention exceptions. Inactivity is not a subscription cancellation request and does not stop recurring charges; cancel renewal separately if you wish to stop paying.

Consumer complaints and substantive replies are retained for three years to meet Hungarian legal obligations.

Billing, tax and accounting records are kept for the retention period required by the laws applicable to the operator. Where section 169 of Hungary’s Accounting Act applies, supporting accounting records must be retained for at least eight years. These records can include invoices, legally required billing information and payment evidence. This exception does not require us to keep your entire trading journal for eight years. Necessary records may be retained longer where a specific legal obligation or legal hold requires it; otherwise they are deleted when the applicable retention period ends.

BackScratch videos are temporary uploads. They expire two hours after upload and cannot be loaded again from Traid after that time. Expired files are deleted from the server when the journal or video is next requested. Keep your own copy of any recording you want to save.

Daily Videos stores YouTube links separately. Those links remain in your journal until removed; deleting a link does not delete the recording from YouTube.

Your rights

Subject to applicable conditions, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. Contact help@traidvue.com from your account email; reasonable identity checks may be needed. We respond to data-rights requests without undue delay and within one month of receipt. If a legally permitted extension is necessary, we will explain the reason and extension within that first month.

You can complain to Hungary’s National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH), https://www.naih.hu/, or another competent supervisory authority, including in the EU country where you live or work. You also have judicial remedies. Providing a privacy notice is not a request to consent to every kind of processing.
