Cookies and browser storage

Traid uses cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your preferences and support advertising. Cookies are small pieces of information saved by your browser. Local storage is another way for the site to remember settings on your device.
Necessary session and security cookies support the service you request and do not depend on advertising consent. Optional advertising cookies are separate: you can refuse them without losing access to your journal. Choosing to stay signed in is optional, and you can remove that remembered login by signing out.
Login and preferences
Traid uses a session cookie to keep you signed in and maintain your session. If you select “Stay signed in”, a separate cookie called traid_profile_remember can remain for up to 60 days. Signing out removes the remembered-login cookie from that browser.
The journal also saves preferences, such as your chosen colours and dashboard layout, in your browser’s local storage. These settings may remain until you clear them or the app removes them. They are separate from the trade records and notes stored in your account on Traid’s server.
Advertising
Traid uses Google AdSense on advertising-supported pages. Google and participating advertising providers may use cookies and similar technologies to display and measure advertisements, limit repeated ads and help prevent fraud. Where you consent, information may also be used to personalise advertising.
Advertising requests can include information such as your IP address, browser and device details, the page being visited, cookie identifiers and interactions with advertisements. The information processed depends on the services used, your choices and the advertising configuration. Login cookies and advertising cookies serve different purposes.

Storage used by the journal
- Session cookie: maintains your sign-in session and session settings.
- traid_profile_remember: remembers your login for up to 60 days when you choose to stay signed in.
- Browser local storage: remembers preferences such as colours and dashboard layout until cleared or removed.
- Advertising cookies and similar technologies: used by Google and participating providers according to the applicable consent requirements and advertising configuration. Their lifetimes vary by provider and purpose.
Your choices
You can view, block or remove cookies and local storage through your browser’s privacy or site-data settings. Blocking necessary login cookies may prevent you from signing in. Clearing stored settings may sign you out or reset your preferences.
Clearing browser storage does not delete your journal from Traid’s server and does not cancel a subscription. For account-data or subscription requests, contact help@traidvue.com.
Accepting Traid’s terms, creating an account or paying for Premium does not itself give consent to optional advertising cookies. Contact help@traidvue.com if you need help with your privacy choices.
Advertising consent
For visitors covered by the European consent requirements, the advertising consent message provides these choices:
- Consent: agree to the optional purposes described in the message.
- Do not consent: refuse the optional processing covered by the consent request.
- Manage options: review the purposes and participating providers and choose your settings.
Optional cookies and similar storage that require consent are used only after you give that consent. Necessary sign-in and security functions are separate from advertising consent. The advertising consent interface provides further information about participating providers and their storage practices; Google’s cookie information is also linked above.
Refusing optional advertising consent does not prevent you from using the Free journal. Advertising may still be displayed where it can lawfully be provided without the consent you refused; refusal does not itself upgrade your account to Premium.
You may change your choices or withdraw advertising consent through the site’s cookie-settings control. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it and applies to future processing, without affecting processing lawfully carried out before withdrawal. Your choices do not delete your account, cancel Premium or remove your journal records.
Other services
Stripe checkout and YouTube have their own cookie practices when you visit their services. Loading external fonts or software resources can also share connection information with the resource provider, even without cookies. The Privacy notice describes these services in more detail.
